San Andreas Community Covenant Church

San Andreas: Our vision and mission are embodied in one of Jesus' earliest followers, Andrew, after whom our town and hence our congregational name "San Andreas."  He followed Jesus and was eager to learner, a disciple of Jesus (John 1:35-42)... thus our own vision:

LEARNING TO BE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST

Learning to WORSHIP by creating services relevant to our community and going beyond weekend services, we are learning a worship lifestyle.

Learning to REACH OUT by understanding our neighbors and by learning the arts of love, acceptacne, forgiveness.

Learning to GROW by getting involved in small groups for fellowship, care, Bible study, prayer, and service.

Learning to SERVE by discovering our call, giftedness, and personal ministry and mission.

Community (a group of people) Covenant (who are in it together) Church (gathered to Jesus).  Our core values, based on Colossians 3:12-17 and 1 Thessalonians 5:12-26, help us flesh this out.

· We seek to build each other up and not tear each other down.

· We respect and honor church leaders.

· We seek to communicate clearly, completely, and directly.

· We seek to offer our opinions with charity and humility.

· We make positive investments in each other’s lives.

· We believe the best in each other and give each other the benefit of the doubt.

· We seek to discover what is best for our church as a whole, not what may be best for us as individuals or some small group in the church.

· We accept disagreement, conflict, and evaluation as normal and natural.

· We are committed to being inconvenienced for the sake of the gospel.
